Fishing

Being an adult is very hard work.
Responsibility slaps you in the face all day long.
You have to be productive and don't let time go to waste.
But there are some days you can kick responsibility in the BUTT
and be a kid all over again.
Those days are priceless.
From having to go to school five days out of the week
and worrying about passing scores and studying all weekend long.
I finally have rest!
Have you ever read those bumper stickers that read:
"Fish 5 days / work 2?"
Well I am not really fishing but sure enough I am not working.
I'm still looking for my state board patient though.
That has got me a bit nervous.

Last Night Partying

Last day on the ship...
We decided to take advantage of the sun and party it up!
Tieing cherry stem knots is not very easy!
But thank God I had enough daiquiris to practice y cherry stem tying.
Some boy thought it was cute to bring floss to the club...
So I flossed him
:)
There was a birthday celebration
Did the birthday boy get too lucky?
I'll tell you one thing,
is always better when we're together.
Sometime a handful, is just right.

If it wasn't for her I would have been stranded in the Bahamas somewhere.

The most comfortablest people in the limo

Embarking

Bon Voyage
My girls and I decided to take a little break from reality
and board the fun ship to the Bahamas
Goodbye to stress of
paying bills
instrument exchanges
finding a state board patient
studying for laws exam
and
losing weight
say Hello to
fun
sun
food
dancing
beach
boys
sand
and
alcohol
:)
Of course when we got our luggage
something was missing...
our 9 bottles of alcohol
so I added an extra dent on my credit cards.
You thought I was going through this trip sobber?
Ha!
For those of you who don't know her yet,
this is my Yes Girl
wonder why she got her name...
then you are officially stupid.
:: sigh ::
If you seek peace, prepare for war.
It's a never ending spell anyway you look at it.
how did I bunk with a boy and end up having to get ready in a room of 4 girls?
I did learn certain make-up tricks though
lol

Treating

Every Thursday, the hospital near my school hosts a green market.
A whole bunch of venders come and sell their goodies.
The goodies range from wraps to arepas
OR
picking loose leaf for teas to gathering fruits and blending into smoothies.
Of course I stay away from the healthy stuff and head straight to the junk.
As a hygienist, I will totally recommend you to stay away from popcorn and always have floss in handy.
However, you cannot resist this kettle popcorn.
It is so yummy.
But this post is not about the yummy pop corn.
This post is to mention the new vender I came across with today.
As I walked on by, my eyes were attracted to all the colorful cookies the stand had displayed.
When I take a close look,
I noticed its cookies for doggies.
An animal loving stand?
What are the odds?
This lady, who I forgot to ask for her name, hand/home makes doggie treats.
I started chatting with her and it turns out she owns a Chihuahua just like Monchi
and a mix just like Gaga.
lol
She's a very awesome lady and she gave me two doggie cookies for the price of one.
If ever you are near Jackson Memorial Hospital on a Thursday...
make sure you past by and take a peek at what the venders have to offer.
I promise there is something for everyone.
Even if you are a four-legged creature.
:)

My doggies had a feast today.
Thanks to B3

Changing

I've always been a type of person that needs change in her life.
Whether it is new photos, painting the walls, or just moving around the furniture,
my room is constantly being refurnished.
You can say I get that from my momma.
;)
My hair has suffered a great deal of changes as well.
It is safe to say that in the 21 years of my life, I've played the role of a:
red head
blonde
brunette
and the most recent
 trigueña*

Before my pinning and graduation,
I had different color bangs that I would change everytime the color would fade.
However, for pinning, I wanted a more serious look.
Therefore, I got ride of the
peek-a-boo
When my cousin did this procedure, she went a little too dark and made me a black head.
OUCH!
I hate my hair black!
It is too dark and it is not me at all.
Now that I'm a post-grad,
I decided to go to my friend who just earned her cosmetology license
and give my hair a little humph with a drastic cut.
:)
who said short hair isn't sexy?
I absolutely love it
and I can't wait to rock the new do on the cruise!
3 more days!

Socializing

Mme. de Staël was in her very right mind when she decided to state:
"The more I see of man, the more I like dogs."

Since my big break, I've been spending a great deal of my time with my pups. Call me cheesy, dorky, nerdy, etc. but they mean the world to me. I don't believe any human can top my two chihuahuas.
While some people dream of having families, attending soccer games and dance rehearsals, I like to believe my pups are my dream! They are the reasons  for my changed personality. I feel like they have helped me at maturing into the person I am today.
Ziggy is my new friend. I met him today before I went to the beach. Of course out of all the days I've had off, today decided to be a very bloomy and windy day. The girls and I decided not to stay with those rip currents and come back to Ziggy for some more company. I wish people can be as lovable as dogs. They are so simple and don't need an awful lot to achieve happiness.
Granted that blue rubber ball brought Ziggy to pure euphoria.
I hope Gaga and Monchi one day have a playdate with Ziggy.
He was just too much fun today
and such a photo whore.
:)

Running

A week and a half with no school and I really can't say I've been unproductive.
I cleaned my room.
Threw away massive junk including
unread documents and unworn clothes.
Another thing I've been caught up on doing as been my working on my physical health.
I've been doing a great deal of exercise.
Mostly cardio.
I'm running a lot.
Before I graduated, two of my friends and myself decided to train for a marathon.
We were truly keeping our words until I realized March happened to be the same month I scheduled my boards.
Anyone who tells me they can study for a major exam
and
keep their running stamina
is a
 BIG  FAT   L I A R !
A passing score on my national and a couple pounds later,
I noticed I can barely run 4 miles how I use to.
Thanks to Little Miss Gaga,
I've been gaining my stamina back!
Today she almost caused both hers and my life.
She's kept on a tight leash, but she decided to test her strength and speed and chase a very fast car.
She went underneath the running car and managed to miss the wheel not once but twice.
Gaga went into hiding right after she took action and was missing for what felt like the longest hour of my life. I chased after that car like if I were in the Olympics. I believe I would have won the Gold medal if I were truly competing.
Thank God the driver was not a jerk and decided to help me look for her.
I found her inside someone elses backyard.
She was scared to death!
I'm so happy I found her.
I honestly don't think I would have gotten any sleep tonight if she were still missing.

Bathing

Happy Cinco de Mayo!
I should let you in on a little fun fact:
Did you know that this date is not really celebrated in the Mexican cultural?
All my life I thought it was their Independence day
and it turns out I was wrong!
Any who... today was Monchi's and Gaga's due date for bathing.
So I decided to re-use the same portable pool I used about a year ago,
for Monchi's birthday and bathe them in there.
I love my pups!
Even though it is not easy to bathe them both at the same time.
They are my pride and joy!
I know I will post a lot of photos of them two
so be aware... I'm already warning!
Today when I was brushing Gaga's teeth, they didn't look so good.
I was actually thinking of taking her to the vet to get them check.
I figure now, that I have such an empty schedule I should fit her in perfectly!
Alrighty good bye ya
I gotta go get my Margarita on
:)

Auditioning

So what happens after you graduate?
You have a lot of time on your hands and you tend to get a lot of ideas. I mean, I always have ideas but never have the appropriate time to convert them into reality. Today, I spent the whole afternoon with one of my best friends and did a shoot. Yeah, for those of you who don't know me quite well, I have a love for photography. So back to the question... what happens after you graduate?
I start doing things I love.
This fall season, I plan to finish my Associates of Arts degree and also join a photography class. Luckily, I have friends that allow me to practice my skills so that whenever I do take that class, I am not a true beginner.

This is Luisa and she is auditioning to become Fawn.
Good luck honey bunny.

It turns out head shots are very boring,
so I decided to have a little fun.

For graduation, I got a whole bunch of flowers.
Why not have some fun with them?

We decided to have a little housewife edition after the boring head shots.

I forgot to mention how Luisa dreaded my hair.
I figured it takes off the tension of my super pitch black hair...
(WHICH I HATE)

Building peace.

HA!

Graduating

That's it!
I finally graduated!
Today marked one of the happiest days of my life. I was trying to describe in words how I feel and I came to the conclusion that the dictionary runs short. All the struggles and hardships look so little when I look back at them. All I can think about is success. I have to thank so many people who helped me come this far. To start off my mother!!! No matter how mad I can get at her or vice versa, she will always support me.
NO MATTER WHAT!
Next my family and friends for always being there and putting a smile on my face even when I don't want to show one.
I received so many presents. I was very surprised. All the presents were given much thought because they represented me in so many ways.
And I cannot forget my professors. They each hold a special place in my heart. Even though I didn't like them all the time. I know they have to do what they have to do, in order for us to become the BEST!
Now, I will be able to sleep in peace and not have to worry about waking up early. I forgot how that felt. I did  sign up for post-grad classes in order to find my state board patient.

Here are more photos of this wonderful night:

Some of the honors students with one of the professors

All of the honors students
one is hiding back there.

Classmates by force, best friends by choice.
About to walk the line!

The young ones who came to see me receive my diploma.

My brother who loves me very much.

My dysfunctional family that I wouldn't trade for the world.

Our very stylish caps.
Can you guess which is mine?
