After graduation passed, I was still not able to practice dental hygiene.
I first needed to get my license in order to start looking for a job.
Anywho, to get this license, you need to do a series of exams.
Three multiple choice question related exams that included
laws, patient cases, and theoritical dental hygiene questions.
Another exam you must take is a
clinical exam that you must present a patient with the given requirements
and perform a dental cleaning on them.
Before this weekend,
I had completed the first 3 exams and passed them all without having to retake them.
This clinical exam was a big nerve wrecking test!
Looking for a patient was so much time consuming...
The patient was always too light,
OR
too heavy
OR
the patient qualified BUT his/her schedule didn't compliment the date of my exam.

I screened over 10 patients and finally found one.
The day of the test, because of my beautiful nerves,
I almost walked out and accepted to fail.
But a couple of deep breaths and a positive patient later,
I was able to send my nerves to hell and complete the exam.
Of course I could have picked up my results the day after I took the exam,
but I was out celebrating my birthday and didn't quite make it on time to the site.
So two days later, my hygiene peeps and I went together to receieve the enevelopes containing our preliminary scores.
The results were shocking...
It's upseting to have to say not all my friends received a passing score.
Believe me, I felt very depressed.
But someone once posted:
"Progress has little to do with speed, but much to do with direction."
I hope they know they can count on me for full support.
Everything happens for a reason.
What's meant to be, will eventually find its way.
This 22nd birthday I received one of the greatest gifts I can ever give myself.
I gave myself the career I wanted.
All the hardships have sailed and success is now in full navigation.
Happy 22nd birthday to me!
May it continue to bring me success
